What this is
trader-card is an analytics and community tool for traders — a place to publish your account stats, trading log, and (later) imported trades, discussions, and badges. It is not investment advice, not a signal service, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or trade any instrument.
We don't execute orders, manage anyone's money, or offer copy-trading. Any performance shown is historical, self-reported or synced from a platform you connect, and is not a promise of future results.
What data we collect
Account details you give us directly: email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
Trading data: account balances, trading days, and (once imported) individual closed trades and cash operations (deposits, withdrawals, payouts, fees). This can come from you typing it in, from a file you upload, or from our browser extension reading your trading platform's own interface.
We never ask for or store your trading platform passwords, API keys with withdrawal rights, or session cookies for those platforms. The extension reads what's already visible on the page — it does not log in on your behalf.
Basic technical data needed to operate the service: timestamps, IP address for rate-limiting abuse (login attempts, password reset requests), and server logs.
Privacy by default
New profiles and accounts are private by default. Nothing about your trading is public until you choose to make it so.
When you do make a profile public, you control the granularity per account: fully public, metrics-only (percentages/R instead of raw balances), or private even on an otherwise public profile.
Data synced in from the browser extension defaults to private, so you can review it before deciding to publish anything.
How we use your data
To run the service: authenticate you, compute your stats, render your profile and dashboard, and send you account-related email (e.g. password reset links).
We do not sell your personal data or trading data to third parties, and we do not use it to generate trading signals sold to others.
Your rights (GDPR and generally)
You can export a full copy of your data — profile, accounts, trading days, trades, cash operations, and connected-token metadata — as a JSON file at any time from your dashboard's Settings page.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the same Settings page. Deletion requires confirming your password, and removes your trader profile, accounts, trading days, trades, and cash operations. This cannot be undone.
If you're in the EU/EEA or another jurisdiction with equivalent rights, you also have the right to access, rectify, or restrict processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Use the export/delete tools first; contact us for anything those don't cover.
Data retention and security
We keep your data as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your trading data as described above; some minimal records (e.g. billing records, if any) may be retained where we're legally required to.
Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text). Password reset links are single-use, expire after one hour, and only a hash of the token is stored.
